The Beatles

Who said there's something wrong with not loving the Beatles? Everyone is entitled to their own musical opinions. But what one should have is an appreciation for what came before. The Beatles were one of the most influential (if not the most influential) band in the history of Rock and Roll. They changed the way music was written, recorded. and it was the first time in history that something a Rock Star said was actually listened to and really mattered. (John's whole "we're bigger than Jesus" thing...yeah that didn't go over well with mainstream America) The Beatles have been influences for the countless bands that have followed them.

Nobody is asking anyone to love The Beatles, and I'm not trying to convert people with this lecture. I'm merely asking everyone to approach this year's POSSIBLE (as in not definite) show with an open mind. (We approached styx with an open mind and we got to ACC'S).

P.S. You can't put "The Beatles" on the RBC Band blog without expecting some sort of feedback from me!

P.P.S.- I guess Power's shouldn't pre-announce the show anymore!
