Just to clear things up
Okay, I've heard some things recently that have somewhat ticked me off, and they are directly related to the marching band. Let me just clarify WHY you join band and stay in the marching band: You march for those who came before you, for those yet to come and for those who believe in it; then it is you who carries the banner, but it's not heavy because you never carry it alone.
We all learned that our first day of band camp freshman year. You're not in band to look cool, to be cool, to impress people, (I hope) you do it because you love it and because you love music. Every single person matters in our band if we lose one person it's like losing a limb. When your friends aren't completely supportive of your participation in band you really need to think about whether or not they know what's really best for you. I hope everyone gets what I'm trying to say...

Good for you. I give you a lot of credit for saying that.
And I have to agree.
It is all about the music.
And I hope that those of you who are in the show next year have a great time with it while taking it seriously.
Please realize how important the music is. That's what it's all about, as Em pointed out.

Emilys right it doesn't matter what other people think its what you think and want to do that matters.
And if you ever think your alone or need some one to talk to theres always some body that loves you and is your friend.
P.S. If you want to talk popularity and raising it because your in band hello we wouldn't be in class one cause everyone would be in band!!!!!!

Its not just about what others think, but what i think too. I dont like it, and i wont wear it. thats the end of it.
party of being in band or even just on a team in general is respecting what other people think its eric who decides for eric what he can or cannot do.... but we just have to remember one think Gp has the final say!!!!
I personally dont care what we wear as along as we have a band and yeah i got made fun for my sparklely tie ( which is sooooo sexy!!) but the important thing is to be able to tell the difference between ur friends laughing at u and laughing w/ u
